Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the cowl panel grille.
    Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02) .
    1. Remove the wiper linkage assembly retainers.
      Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
    1. NOTICE: Make sure that the rubber grommet is installed on the wiper linkage assembly prior to installation. Failure to follow this could cause the wiper system to work improperly.

    1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector and remove the wiper linkage assembly.
  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Detach the windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank and position aside.
  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    NOTE: Note the position of the component before moving.

    Rotate the windshield wiper motor crank to gain access to all of the windshield wiper motor mounting retainers.
  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    NOTE: Note the position of the component before removal.

    Remove the wiper motor retainers and the wiper motor.
    Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
