Lincoln Corsair: Rear Suspension / Removal and Installation - Spring

Removal

  1. Remove the rear wheel knuckle.
    Refer to: Wheel Knuckle - AWD (204-02 Rear Suspension, Removal and Installation).
    Refer to: Wheel Knuckle - FWD (204-02 Rear Suspension, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the spring.

Installation

  1. Visual check.
    Check the upper spring seat for damage. Replace as necessary.
  1. Install the spring.
  1. NOTE: Make sure that the spring is correctly located in the upper spring seat.

    Visual check.
    Align the spring in the upper spring seat.
  1. Install the rear wheel knuckle.
    Refer to: Wheel Knuckle - AWD (204-02 Rear Suspension, Removal and Installation).
