Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. NOTE: Interior rear view mirror removed for clarity.

   
   Remove the IPMA cover.
   
   1. Release the IPMA clips and the tether clip from the IPMA cover.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
   2. Rotate the tether clip line to align the end with the opening in the IPMA cover.
      
   3. Slide the tether clip end out of the IPMA cover.

   NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphic for this step in the installation.

   
   Remove and discard the IPMA cover tether clip.
   
   1. Release the IPMA cover tether clip front tabs.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
   2. Release the IPMA cover tether clip rear tabs.
      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. Disconnect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.

   Remove the interior rear view mirror.
   
   1. Loosen the set screw.
      Torque: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)
   2. Slide the interior rear view mirror upward.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   Connect the tether clip to the IPMA cover.
   
   1. Install the tether clip onto the IPMA cover.
      
   2. Rotate the tether clip line to align the end with the opening in the IPMA cover.
      
   3. Slide the tether clip end into the IPMA cover.
