Lincoln Corsair: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Removal and Installation - Steering Column Shrouds

Flat Headed Screw Driver
Interior Trim Remover

Removal

  1. Fully extend and lower the steering column.
  1. Release the tabs and position the gap hider aside.
    Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  1. Release the upper steering column shroud front clips.
    1. Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left.
    1. Release the LH clip.
      Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
    1. Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the right.
    1. Release the RH clip.
      Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
  1. NOTE: Gap hider removed for clarity.

    Release the tabs and remove the upper steering column shroud.
  1. Remove the lower steering column shroud bolts.
  1. Release the tab and remove the steering column lower shroud.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
