Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
   Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
   

1. Remove the front RH halfshaft.
   Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - AWD (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
   Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) – MI4, FWD (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove and discard the RH halfshaft seal.
   Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Installation

1. Install a new halfshaft seal on the special tool.
   Use Special Service Tool: 307-758  Installer, Axle Seal -FWD. , 205-153 (T80T-4000-W)  Handle.

1. Using the special tool, install the RH halfshaft seal.
   Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W)  Handle. , 307-758  Installer, Axle Seal -FWD.

1. Install the front RH halfshaft.
   Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - AWD (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
   Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) – MI4, FWD (205-04 Front Drive Halfshafts, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Check the transmission fluid level.
