Lincoln Corsair: Engine Emission Control - 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) – MI4 / Removal and Installation - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor.
Refer to: Differential Pressure Feedback Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Drain the cooling system.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and

Installation).

Release the clip and remove the electrical connector cover.
-

Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
-
Detach the coolant tube retainers from the engine lift eye and intake manifold.

Remove the fasteners.
-
-
Remove the fasteners and position aside the EGR intermediate tube and cold tube.
-
Remove and discard the gaskets.
Installation

Install the EGR valve and fasteners, hand tighten them at this stage.

Position back the EGR intermediate tube and fasteners, hand tighten them at this stage.

Position back the EGR cold tube and fasteners, hand tighten them at this stage.
-
Tighten the fasteners.
Torque:
97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Tighten the fasteners.
Torque:
97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Tighten the fasteners.
Torque:
97 lb.in (11 Nm)

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Make sure a valid passive key is within one
of the three external detection ranges. These
