Lincoln Corsair: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms / Removal and Installation - Rear Door Glass Top Run

Removal

NOTE: LH (left-hand) side shown, RH (right-hand) side similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the rear door window glass.
    Refer to: Rear Door Window Glass (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, Removal and Installation).

  1. Remove the rear door outer belt moulding screw.
    1. Release the pin-type retainers and position the weatherstrip aside.
    1. Remove the rear door outer belt moulding screw.
      Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)

  1. Remove the rear door outer belt moulding screw.
    1. Release the pin-type retainers and position the weatherstrip aside.
    1. Remove the rear door outer belt moulding screw.
      Torque: 12 lb.in (1.3 Nm)
  1. Remove the rear door outer belt moulding.

  1. Remove the fore and aft rear door upper mouldings.
    1. Position the rear door glass top run aside.
    1. Position the rear door glass top run aside.
    1. Remove the fore rear door upper moulding.
    1. Remove the aft rear door upper moulding.

  1. Remove the rear door glass top run.
    1. Position the rear door glass top run aside.
    1. Position the rear door glass top run aside.
    1. Position the rear door glass top run aside.
    1. Remove the rear door glass top run.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Carry out the power door window initialization.
    Refer to: Power Door Window Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
